2 R.T.diver
2 Common Scoter
40 Eider
20 Grey Plover
30 Curlew
Seawatching at Walney something for the purist.
Rampside
350 B.H.Gulls
150 Common Gull
30 Herring Gull
3 Med Gull. 1 adult, 1 2nd winter a different bird from yesterday and the 1st winter with the green ring which Ii was still unable to read.
23 Tree Sparrow along Page Bank Lane.
Roosebeck outflow
Lots of Herring, Black Headed, Common and a few Lesser Black Backs.
After watching the gulls for a few hours I was ready for a change and set off for Ravenstown to look for a few Geese, however there was a nice little gull flock feeding in the slurried fields at Aldingham.
Lots of Common and Black Heads but nothing else, but I did find a very nice gull flock on Aldingham beach.
Again loads of the usual suspects and 2 2nd winter Med Gulls.
Set off again but only got as far as Baycliff when I spotted another gull flock on the beach; Herring, L.B.B.,
Blackheads and Common Gulls but there was 348 Shelduck.
off again for Ravenstown, when I got there not a single Goose so I went back to Roosebeck to look at a few gulls.
The Med Gull with the green ring was sat on the beach preening but still keeping the lettering obscured.  After about 40 mins it was possible to read the ring;  R805.  By this time my eyes were aching and it was time for home, but I could'nt drive past the ploughed field without a quick look. Nothing.
