It wasn't until about 10:30 that the fog lifted and I was able to get out. When I arrived at Rampside what did I find, nothing, not a single Gull nothing the fields were deserted, zilch bollocks so I went home and saw 2 Buzzards on the way.
After picking up the the lifespoiler from school I visited the reservoirs behind Pennington . On Pennington res a few Tufted duck and 4 Goldeneye. 10 Fieldfare were feeding in nearby fields and 15 Chaffinches were pre-roosting in a Hawthorn bush.
Harlock res was devoid of birds completely, Poaka Beck held 30 Wigeon, 10 Teal, 4 Coot, 4 Cormorant, 20 Canada Geese and 6 Goldeneye.
Best sight of the day was the 38 Linnet going to roost in some Gorse bushes near the resr I wonder where these things get to in the winter.
