Birdrace.

As most people will know the Walney Wanderers were again victorious in the annual C.B.C. Birdrace amassing a total of 108 species. Highlights of the day birdwise was 6 Hawfinch near Rusland the Pinkfeet and Whitefronts on the Holker mosses and those few occasions when you can say "So and so is guaranteed here" step out of the car and there it is right on cue ,back of the net.

   For most of the day we thought we,d be in for a beating especially if there was a team from the north of the county but things came together in the end .
