It never rained again

Started the day with a bit of vis mig 08:30-
12 Alba wag
28 Meadow Pipit
23 Linnet
150 Jackdaw
5 Carrion Crow
1 Hooded Crow
It was slow going so decided to give the bushes at Snab point a look
6 Goldcrest
3 Robin
3 Wren
Then just caught a glimpse of a bird being harassed by a couple of B.H.Gulls while simultaneously putting up all the waders.A ringtail Harrier  it next appeared near the caravan park on the salt marsh heading toward South Walney Nature Reserve so phoned the Obs no answer, views were brief and in bad light of a bird flying away then it was gone.I had a look around the reserve but no sign ,the ringers at the reserve had not seen anything and did,nt get the message because the phone was on charge. An hour or so later news of a Pallid Harrier was released on Rare Bird Alert (Birdforum ) in Lancs and North Merseyside ,but later it seemed to  have been removed.
A mystery. No longer, there was a delay in the news being put on to birdforum the bird was seen at approx 08:00 whatever it was.
