Standing Tarn had a Goldeneye male , 2 Tufted duck and a Gadwall. Next it was head to the beach at Bardsea, was near birdless apart from 20 Common Gull so on to Newbiggin outfall

then received a call about a Jackdaw showing characteristics of Scandanavian type so off I went.
Got very brief views before it flew off to Piel Island so decided to indulge in some Pipitology.
The Water Pipit was showing well and seeing off any other Rock Pipits that attempted to feed on the beach so Ripit totals were only about 5 birds.

165 Brent Geese
40 Shelduck
20 Ringed Plover

but lots more waders roosting on the island. While sat watching the Pipits 6 Jackdaws landed in the car park one of them sporting a fine white flash on the neck then they were gone towards Roa Island where I managed to get some pics.
In the reed bed on the saltmarsh 17 Snipe were sitting out the tide on the edge of the reed bed.
Late afternoon a Peregrine was scaring a large mixed flock of Corvids at Lindal and a 100 Pink Feet crossed the peninsula heading south between Dalton and Barrow.
